News, events and networking for the Pagan community of Michigan
if I should run in the shadows
let me be lost in the greenery of ferns,
the underbrush of the trees bending
let me hide in the woods of other-time
drifting upon the ripples of a pond
that worlds forgot in the infinite
I would slake my thirst in cupped
adoration, gently revering the sanctity of the temple,
the governed altar where She blesses me
if I should be, if I would be, if I could be
if I am
it is there I dream in a technicolor world
where the past blends with the present
forging the tomorrows of my wishes
the measure of my cup a skein
of magick at my fingertips
should I raise it, should I conjure
with the realms of the earth
whispering and waiting….waiting….
yet I want this effervescence upon my breast
so let me bathe in gentle waters of a passionate
soul, seeking the journey where you lay;
where the scent of the sun drenches
the nectar that I offer
let it lay upon us as the serenade of
gypsy violins in firelight dance in joy
letting the wildness that hides come forth
between the bite and bloodied lip; shared
where life pours to the earth in raven and lavender
where we are but
Temple and Altar
