Plant some Prosperity

A frequent reoccurring theme in my life regards the acquiring and managing of money. I wont go into lurid details, but I will say that I am terrible at it and have misunderstood and misused my relationship towards money. I believe that it may also be a part of the world around me as well as myself right now. However, I have become determined to become more learned and prudent with the ways of commerce this year and so I have crafted a magical working to help my intentions.
I wanted to share it with PaganMI because I don’t doubt that most of us are in tight financial situations right now, and some of you might benefit from this spell. It is designed to utilize the power of Earth, from a place of steady growth and stability.
The items needed for this working are a coin of every denomination (penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half dollar, and dollar coin), soil (gather soil from your backyard or workplace to provide a sympathetic link), seeds (pick a plant that is easy to grow, hardy, prolific, perennial and symbolic), and a planter to put it all in. If you use a cheap terracotta planter, draw a symbol you regard as magical and supportive to the spell or try devising a sigil to embody your will and intention. Place each item apart from each other on your workspace or altar. Prepare your sacred space and ground and center as your tradition dictates.
Begin blessing each item. Anoint the coins (from smallest to largest), hold them in your hands and speak to them, tell them what you want them to do, bless them with your intention, blow on them and make it true. Place them at the bottom of the pot. Draw the symbol on it, and anoint it, fill that with your intention too. Place your hands over the soil and bless that too. You may speak to the dirt too, you want to create a strong connection in this spell, and then fill the pot with it.
Take up the seeds and do the same, whisper to them, flatter them, convince them what big, strong, beautiful plants they will become and ask them to share their power with you as you help it grow. Place them in the pot. Take a moment to visualize your intention of these coins multiplying and prosperity growing steadily and strong in your life. water it for the first time (I recommend praying or chanting over the water to fill it with intention as well). Make and invoking earth pentagram in the air (or any other sign you deem holy), to finalize the spell. You may also ask the blessings of a patron deity that you have a relationship with.
Take care of the plant, water it, provide it nutrients, give it enough light and watch it flourish. When the plant has become too big for its initial planter, transfer it to a bigger one or bring it outside. At this time, take the coins and place them in some kind of personal fund, either a savings jar at home or a savings account through a bank. Make regular offerings to both the plant and the fund to see your prosperity grow.
This is just a rough outline of the operation. You can’t just do the acts without the feeling behind it. You need to have the emotion, the desire, the intention, the willpower, belief, and faith behind it for the magic to actually work. Otherwise, you’re just growing a plant on top of some coins and expecting them to miraculously multiply.
