Event Description

You're invited to join Michigan's largest Ásatrú community at their 16th Annual Midsummer celebration!

WHO: Michigan Trúfolk members and member-groups, The Gild of Goodfolk and their vouchsafed guests.

WHAT: A heathen celebration of Midsummer, the modern Ásatrú holiday ...marking the Summer Solstice.

TO BRING: Your own food plus a large dish to pass on Thursday, feast gear (plate, bowl & flatware), day or overnight camp supplies (tent, sleeping bag, chair, blanket, cooler, cooking gear, etc.), goods for a Vidar gelt (heels of old shoes) and cash for the fundraiser auction. Archers bring your bows. Home-brewer's bring your mead, beer or cordials for judging. Participants in the cooking competition be prepared with your supplies. Musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments. BYOB (Must be 21. I.D. required!) Bring swimwear to enjoy the pond on site. No life guard on duty. Show your pride: Wear your Michigan Trúfolk and kindred t-shirts! *Bringing items to donate to the fundraiser auction is also encouraged!


COST: TBA. There will be two options: A One Day Pass (for the 21st only) and a Three Day pass, each priced accordingly. (This fee is to help cover the cost of site and the port-a-john rentals.)

SCHEDULE: TBA. (It's a three-day event!)

EVENTS: (Tentative) Blót, sumble, cracker-barrel, lore fire, workshops, brewing competition, cooking competition, water sports, swimming, field games, a fund-raiser auction, potluck feast & pig roast and a membership meeting.

NOTES: Primitive camping available overnight, encouraged if drinking. A portable toilet and potable running water will be available on-site.

NO: Weapons, pets, underage drinking or tobacco use by minors will be tolerated.
